Genera: Cyphaspis, Otarionella.

Not much is known about the Aulacopleuridae in the Ardennes. So far, Cyphaspis (in the wide sense) has been recorded from lower and middle Eifelian strata and from the Frasnian. Although aulacopleurids appear to be widely distributed in the Ardennes (compare recent records by Basse and Franke from the Emsian in Luxembourg), more research will have to be conducted to come to a more comprehensive understanding of this group.
