Devonian strata abound in the Ourthe valley near the pittoresque village of La Roche-en-Ardenne.

Asteropyge cf. comes BASSE, 2003 from the Jemelle Formation (middle Eifelian) in the Richefort area. Real Asteropyge are rare trilobites in the Ardennes. This specimen is the only Asteropyge species known from this region with certainty.
